Good condition for its age. Cover is quite scruffy, pages are dog-eared, and dirtied on the edges. Staples rusted. Some writing inside on about four pages, scribbling out cancelled instruction in the course.

Softback, cloth type covers. Full title on the front cover says "Synopsis of Course of Instruction, Safe Working of Railways, Appliances Used in Connection Therewith, Students of the Signalling Classes". There are other words which I can't read (too small). 76 pages.
